Lookin' good in Berlin
Ok,
in Berlin there was this elite store that had specialties from all over the
world. Each country had something they were famous for, cute little jams from
England, chocolate from Belgum, cheese from France, etc. What did American have
to show for itself? Kraft Mac and Cheese, Aunt Jemima, Pop Tarts, Act One microwave
popcorn, and Oreos. And expensive!! They wanted $4 for a box of Mac and Cheese!
It was so unbelivably embarrasing, but we still had to take a photo.
We
had lots of trouble in Czech with the language, as you can see from this U-Bahn
station name. Go ahead, try to say it..
Here's
another funny. Jen's first European toilet in the airport at Brussels happens
to be a Lady Pissoir. I had never heard of it before. Jen is taking a long time
in the stall, and finally I hear this, "um, is your toilet weird?"
What? She comes out, confused. I just thought it was the normal European toilet,
until she started telling me about it. She said "there was just a hole...."
There were directions and everything! We had to take a photo, see if you can
read the instructions.
Jen
is psyched to go horseback riding!
Yep,
there was a Starbucks in Berlin

In Prague, there are these crazy escalators to get to the undergrounds. You just hope they are working, and you don't have to climb them!
of course,
we have to find a dog to hang out with. This is Alyeska, a malamute who lived
at the Czesky Dvur (riding stables in Benesov)
In
Berlin, there was a bike built for 8 people! You could rent it and drive it
around town. You could have a professional meeting on a bike around town in
Berlin! We actually saw some people later that were riding it - interesting
idea!

The fruit market in Munich where everyone shops. All the fruit and vegetables in Germany are organic - they don't use pesticides and they taste fantastic!
Can
you imagine why I miss Garmisch?
