Plate System
Here at Bomber Industries we believe the future of performance telemark bindings is in the plate system. It gives you more torsional (start the turn) and longitudinal (hold the turn) rigidity. Ever wonder why the new crop of plastic boots gives you more control? For the exact same reasons a plate binding will. However, the boot does have its limits as to how much rigidity it can supply. Enter our binding to help add more control to the entire system.
With a plate based system the rear (or uphill ski) is now very active.
A rider can put more energy into that ski and really make it work for
them. Reason: a cable binding gives you little lateral stiffness when
that rear boot heel is up in the air, but a plate will allow full pressure
to the edge of the ski. Have you ever wanted or felt you needed less
power to the edge of the ski? Of course not, power to the edge is all
good.
