Sub Plate Mounting
By making the binding a two piece mount, this gives the
user the ability to move the binding forward and rearward from the middle
position.
With other bindings, you get one shot to get the right spot or it is
plug and drill time. The Bishops allow you to move the binding 1cm forward
or 1cm rearward from the original mounting spot, all done with a 5mm
Hex key. Our ski screws have the lowest head height in the industry,
which helps keep screw pullout to a minimum.
Now here is the best part: Bomber is now offering a 2nd Ski Kit. This will include two of the Sub-plates and Tail Rails with mounting screws and climbing wire. This allows a rider to have a second (or third, or fourth, etc.) set of skis ready to go, anytime. Imagine: you get to the hill, check out the conditions, and then mount-up the pair of skis that will work for that day in all of 5 minutes - all because your quiver has the 2nd Ski Kits mounted to them! One pair of bindings, several sets of skis, what a concept!
Now Standard': Since 04/05 Bishops and 2nd Ski Kits come with a universal mount. They will mount either by ski screw or machine screw into a ski with Inserts.
